A sweet soft pink nursery has been lovingly created for little Poppy, a real sanctuary captured beautifully by photographer Amy Williams. The nursery has been painted a delicate pink hue and furnished simply with white furniture and sweet features such as a pom pom garland above the cot bed. Above the changing table is a eclectic mix of art prints including a ‘Miss Dior’ print by Emma Kisstina – a hint for a future little fashionista? Simple white floating bookshelves hold a lovely collection of children books for mum and dad to read to Poppy in those precious quiet moments.
Tell us about Poppy’s soft pink nursery, Amy?
I was so excited to meet little Poppy. I had photographed Mom, Justine and Dad, Amos’s wedding in 2011. With newborns I’m never sure if they will stay asleep during our session or be alert enough to want to visit. Poppy was looking around with brief little naps but you could just see in her eyes she was looking around to see where her Mom was and wondering what all the fuss was about. I am in love with her nursery, a room to grow in, one with a beautiful view of the North Shore mountains in British Columbia, Canada. The perfect colour of pink, the little book shelves with favourite stories to come, a cozy chair for Mom and Dad and the pom pom garland. I think and my personal fave is the decal on the door to Poppy’s room that reads, “You are loved.” I can’t wait to follow Poppy’s growing for the next year in photos. xo Amy
