This little man baby shower looks like lots of fun! Mel from The Larson Lingo organised this for her sister Rebecca, who is expecting a baby boy. Mel is also pregnant and when they held the party they both around 40 weeks pregnant. The theme was a little man baby shower because “her baby is the first little man in our family…that we know of!”. Mel choose a navy blue and green colour scheme and decided to avoid baby blue because her sister is not a big fan of that. Mel was inspired by other little man parties but she incorporated ties also and not just moustaches.
Mel designed fun polka dot and moustache baby shower invites and she brought retro striped straws, adding sweet little moustaches to them. Drinks were served in mason jars with personalised luggage labels. There was a super dessert table with lots of yummy treats, such as blue velvet cupcakes, fruit cup puffs, chocolate chip cookie dough cupcakes and green licorice. Above the dessert table was an adorable handmade onesie bunting, the ties were added using the fabric left over from the table cloths.
The party was held in the garden for the 30 guests with mason jars filled with flowers as the centre pieces for the tables. Mel brought coordinating fabric to cover the tables, which she described as “simple & easy” decorations. Mel was helped by her family to organise and prepare the food. The baby shower favours were homemade cookie favours in the shape of tiny onesies.
Mel’s mum, aunt, sisters & Mel at the end of the shower, what a lovely photo!
Do you have a fun filled baby shower you want to share with us?
