Tell us about your 1960′s retro family photo shoot, Roberto?

This is a shoot I did for some friends of mine who wanted to do a family portrait. I came up with this concept after hearing some of their interests. We pitched some ideas back and forth and in the end we decided on a 1960′s family Florida vacation, a la Mad Men… I guess Mad man, woman and child
We spent a day driving all around Miami ,Florida to spots I had picked out that still had an old school vibe. I gave the images an old feel in the post production. I believe it worked out pretty well!

Susie originally graduated from university with a degree in Law & History but went back to college to study professional photography part time in Vancouver and then London.  After working with many different fashion and portrait photographers she then went on to pursue a photography career in the film industry and has shot publicity stills on many different feature films including Casino Royale & Quantum of Solace. Since 2012, whilst still doing the occasional film and editorial work, she now primarily concentrates on her family portrait photography business ” Huckleberry Photography ” based in Sevenoaks, Kent.

Tell us about Yusra & Ray’s maternity photos, Susie?

Yusra and Ray braved a freezing but rare sunny winters evening to let me shoot some beautiful maternity photos of them in Knole Park in Sevenoaks. I also took some of Yusra back at home their home, where once again she braved the cold as their boiler had broken! Not one to ever be left out Billy Bob the pug put in an appearance too!

Tell us about Baby Sylvie’s photo shoot, Shellie?

Sylvie she was 11 days old on the day of the photo shoot. Mum wanted a vintage look  and no pink! Sylvie slept like a dream and the session was completed in only 2 hours. We had a super time!

Tell us about your baby photos of Evan, Katie?

I recently took this little boy Evan’s photos who was six and half weeks old at the time. Evan’s mum is Clare and his Dad Nicolas, is French, they live in France (Paris) and came back to visit relatives and to have their shoot with me.

Birth Announcement delicate with calligraphy by Oscar and Emma Custom Designs

This stunning birth announcement was lovingly hand made by Karly Depew from Oscar and Emma Custom Design Studio to announce baby Maeve arrival into the world. There are special little details such as the little “M” and heart charms which adorn the gocco printed muslin bags with the text “Melting our hearts with every smile”.  The beautiful calligraphy is by Grace Edmands, it is pure romance of the handwritten word. The birth announcement is letterpress and gold foil stamped on cotton paper which gives a delicate feel to the card. Our favourite touch is the photo of baby Maeve included. I always love to receive photos of new baby’s and I am more likely to keep the photo than the card itself.

Tell us about Marley’s newborn photography session, Kate?

The newborn photography session took place at Marley’s home, with Mum and Dad involved. She was just 8 days old so still all sleepy and squidgy! She was born tongue tied so was being fed with a tiny syringe, a bit time consuming for Mum, but so cute to watch! She was a star for the session apart from pooing on my white blanket! (all in a days work for a newborn photographer!) We had the room temperature at full blast as we did almost the whole shoot with her in the buff, so we were all boiling by the end, but Marley was snug as a bug!
