This eclectic Peter Pan themed nursery was created by Jessica for her son Amron, the nursery theme was based on her favourite Disney movie Peter Pan. The use of the bold blue colour makes this nursery stand out from the crowd. Nearly everything in the nursery is handmade or a DIY project.
What was your design inspiration Jessica?
I knew I wanted an eclectic room that encompassed a modern and vintage design aesthetic with a lot of heart and soul. My initial inspiration was an orange dresser with white trim…then everything sort of trickled from there. I wanted to incorporate subtle hints of the story like the mermaid hook holding the Big Ben clock to the faux alligator skinned ottoman.
This handmade ‘buried treasure’ mobile is one of my favourite elements of the nursery.
A bargain bookcase turned into a baby clothes wardrobe with DIY clothes dividers based on size for easy organising and at a glance quick changes.
