A Very English Afternoon Tea Baby Shower

Long Summer days are perfect for a very English afternoon tea baby shower. This shower was held in honour of Dee from she had us at hello. It it utterly charming with it’s quintessentially English afternoon tea atmosphere. There are many simple and beautiful touches, such as jam jars filled with flowers, homemade and wholesome savoury snacks and afternoon tea cakes and treats with mismatching picnic blankets on the grass. There is a relaxed and informal feeling to this afternoon tea baby shower and I love it! It’s a refreshing take on the usual baby showers themes.

Dee said “…a wonderful spread, fabulous friends, sunshine, great conversation and some lounging on blankets is obviously the recipe for bringing on labour. An hour after we got home, my contractions had started!” Their baby girl was born the next day!
